2022 Huawei Developer Competition Europe Winners Announced

[Barcelona, Spain, Mar 1 2023] Huawei Developer Competition Europe 2022 concludes today after four months of intense competition. Team Demeter was crowned as Grand Winner for their solution to increase farm productivity and reduce environmental damage. The winning pitch received EUR15,000 to further develop their idea.

As an ICT flagship event, Huawei Developer Competition encourages developers to solve real-world problems using cutting-edge technologies. This Competition was open to eight regions: China, Asia Pacific, Southern Africa, Northern Africa, Latin America, Middle East, CCE & Nordic Europe, and Western Europe. Among the many international participants, more than 30 developers and 9 teams took home coveted prizes in Europe.
The 1st Runner-Ups were Huawei Infinity Devs and GestOMatic. Bluetenso, the rubber ducks, and Automotive Technology Solutions were the 2nd Runner-Ups.

Three teams – On Cloud 9-1-1, ikic, and Bravo – won the Honorable Student Awards. They are expected to make strides in developing high-value applications.

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) kicked off on Feb 27 2023. 9 winners from Huawei Developer Competition Europe 2022 were invited to the biggest tech trade show for the mobile communications industry. Tim Tao, President of Huawei European Cloud Business Dept, met them at the venue. "Huawei Cloud continues to support developers in technology innovation. A digital future, a smart world, and shared success are what we want to achieve," he said.

The leader of Demeter described the competition as a life changing opportunity. “Through initiatives and competitions like this one, global developers get chances and support to make their development reality. We can actually grab a way to change the world with our code.”
